Are you confident in your board’s effectiveness?

Most boards focus on operations and urgent issues, and rarely get the chance to step back and look at how the board itself is working. I help boards do that in a way that is practical, strengths-based and psychologically safe, so every director can contribute their best thinking.

Meet Andrea McCarron-Benson

Andrea is a governance specialist, independent non-executive director and founder of Queenfisher Advisory. She helps not-for-profits and purpose-driven organisations build boards that are inclusive, effective and confident.

As a woman with disability, Andrea saw first-hand that many boards weren’t set up to support everyone around the table. She founded Queenfisher to bring practical, inclusive governance to the women’s sector, where lived experience shapes how boards listen, decide and lead.

Over five years of experience conducting independent investigations in the NFP sector.
